There are so many different reasons for listening. In this series, we’re presenting a range of inquiries as a way to think about how and why we listen, and how our intentions affect the experience.
Today we’re asking: How can we listen to hold?
What happens when we just hold space and listen?
Instead of needing to fix, help, or do anything, what happens when we simply take in what we hear?
It can be so tempting to contribute something from our own experiences. We might want to share wisdom we’ve gathered or tell the story of how that same thing happened to us one time, but we don’t have to ADD anything to create value. We’ll give tremendous value just by listening.
